Heritage Housing Partners Corporation today announced that Mr. Sekou (Koe) Murphy will be joining the organization as a new Board Member. Mr. Murphy has lived in Howard County for 10 years with his family.

Mr. Murphy is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CCI Health and Wellness Services in Silver Spring, MD, where he focuses on financial reporting, real estate expansion/financing, revenue cycle management and process improvement. Prior to that role, Mr. Murphy served for nine years as CFO for Washington, DC based, Bread for the City where he focused on real estate expansions including structured finance, financial reporting, income diversification and system conversions. Mr. Murphy has his BBA in Accounting from Howard University where he also played football and his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Murphy’s experience will enhance the expertise on the Heritage Housing Partners Corporation Board in the areas of:

  • Financial strategy
  • Acquisition
  • Tax Credits

Heritage Housing Partners Corporation was established in 1967 as Columbia Interfaith Housing. The organization owns and manages affordable housing in and around Howard County. The organization’s mission is to promote and provide quality affordable housing.
