In 2016, plans were started to substantially rehabilitate this property through the State of Maryland Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program. HHP was awarded its first-ever Tax Credit project in December 2017. The project was financed with the State 4% LIHTC and bond financing, an Energy Grant from the State, CDBG funds from the County, and a PILOT from the County. HHP worked with Chesapeake Community Advisers, Southway Builders, and Wiencek and Associates Architects; legal team Carney, Kelehan Bressler, Bennett, and Scherr; tax credit partner Cinnaire. The property retained the HUD Section 202/8 project-based voucher.

Work was completed December 31, 2018. Units received all new appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, windows, painting, tile, lighting and plumbing fixtures — plus in-unit washers and dryers. Buildings were refinished with new Hardie plank siding and new roofs, with new sidewalks and landscaping throughout. The Community Building was completely redone and now includes fully accessible bathrooms, a kitchen, a meeting room, a library and a management office. There are five fully accessible units and two units for the sight- and hearing-impaired.
