On Saturday, December 7th, members of the St Matthew Orthodox Church visited St Matthew House. They provided the residents with drinks, sandwiches, crackers, fruit chips, and cookies. The children were there with St Nicholas, and they sang Christmas carols. Several of the residents joined in. The children handed out boxes of cookies and gave each resident a gift bag from the parish with $100 Amazon and $90 in Harris Teeter gift cards. The residents were all very thankful for the kindness and generosity shown to them today. What an excellent way to kick off the holiday season!
